Woodcut

523 x 390 mm (Image 400 x 300 mm)

One of three prints by the artist available in this exhibition, these works are typical of the artist's emotional, at times mocking, and almost always playful depictions of scenes from day to day life, in a style that deliberately echoes that of German expressionist print makers in the early decades of the 20th Century.

This particular work depicts three ladies, clad in ski outfits, surrounding a gentleman with his leg in a cast and an arm in a sling. One of the ladies bends down to sign the cast, while the other two whisper in the background. The man, sullen and aloof behind his shades, seems not to notice.

This original and unframed print is in good condition.
