HODAKA YOSHIDA

1926-1995

UNKNOWN

c. 1962?

Woodblock

Plate: 152 x 103 mm

Another small abstract print by Hodaka Yoshida, and yet another example of work from the artist's 'primitive' phase. Again, as with other works produced by the artist during this time it reflects Hodaka's interest in depicting the energy inspire by tribal (particularity pre-Colombian Mexican) art, and is reminiscent of some of his later 'drum' or 'ceremony' designs.

The print itself is in excellent condition with vibrant color.
